Dario is the Managing Director for South East Asia whilst managing a strategic portfolio of clients in China and Hong Kong. He started his career in Hong Kong in 2003 working for an international law firm and developed a deep experience in assisting foreign investments into China, Hong Kong and South East Asia advising clients in connection to various aspects ranging from corporate, commercial to labour law. He has built a practice of multinational clients and a strong reputation of adviser to the board of several fashion and luxury brands.
An International Law graduate, Francesco started his career at the Italian Chamber of Commerce in HK & Macau. He joined Hawksford in 2013 and has been working in both the Hong Kong and the Shanghai offices during the past years. During his years of practice, Francesco has extensively supported the establishment and business operations of foreign companies across Hong Kong and China, providing comprehensive advisory with outsourced administration services.
Corin is a career civil servant and diplomat for the UK Government with nearly 20 years of experience in trade and investment working across the world. Focusing on both policy and commercial aspects, Corin has worked in Beijing, Johannesburg, London and Bangalore as well as supporting UK Government activities across South East Asia more widely. He has recently taken up a role as Director, Trade and Investment, for the Department for International Trade in Hong Kong.
Arthur Yu is the Head of Consumer & Retail in UK Department for International Trade, overseeing Hong Kong and Macao market. He facilitates bilateral trade and investment, amplifies UK excellence in consumer sectors and secures a hindrance-free access of UK consumer goods into the market.
Joana Alves Cardoso is the founding partner of JAC Lawyers and has solid experience with international clients in the areas of retail, technology and distribution and works both with local and multinational corporations in commercial and corporate matters, including their strategy to enter the Macao market. She is currently also the President of the International Estate Planning Commission of the International Association of Lawyers (UIA) and has been an active member and guest speaker in various international panels for over 7 years in the areas of Corporate Commercial, Family Law and Estate and Tax Planning.
